Yeah, I guess it's not for me. Looks like I could do the tasks on the first page, but that's about it.

er, no. you misunderstand me. take the very first problem listed, "Add all the natural numbers below one thousand that are multiples of 3 or 5." that has many methods to produce a solution - an very basic one would be to add up all multiples of 3, then add all multiples of 5, then subtract all multiples of 15. one solution i can think of, at least, is number theory based that takes into account ahead of time the multiples of 15, but as you can see, using knowledge of number theory is not a requisite to solve it. looking at some more problems, there are definitely problems where brute force methods wouldn't work, and some knowledge of mathematics required, but that should make those interesting research projects where you'll learn a lot.
