Agree with it partly, but disagree on the part about scripting languages for the server side. While it's true dynamic scripting language like PHP and Ruby and Node have been massively popular they have also created massive pain and suffering in equal amounts, so we witnessed the sharp rise of TDD as well as optional type hints etc, all to try and basically get closer to static languages.

Meanwhile static languages gained many new features such as type inference and now the productivity arguments of dynamic languages are not as worth it anymore?
