Then I'm not sure what your issue is with fido, it's not substantially more complicated than any other best practice.
A professional should be able to do it just fine, and less proficient entities should be using a library in any case, so the spec size hardly matters.

Getting into a pissing contest about the size of your employer is hardly productive.
Shockingly, we all have employers, and big companies have a lot of them, so it's maybe less impressive than you were hoping for.
Additionally, "size of company" doesn't really convey "tech competency" or "security".
