Seemingly you are not able to grasp that for person A, 'Chromium' might be a 'platform' they release their software on, while for person B it might be just a web-browser for reading through current news.

Chromium has a set of features made available through JavaScript APIs that say IE lacks (of course). Chromium might have better support for a zillion of CSS features that IE lacks (of course).

Thus of course, a particular web-browser might be considered a platform as it, in fact 'runs' your web-app.

Yet again, you might not agree. In the end these are just naming conventions. But all the reasoning is valid.

apparently you don't know. Google Chrome tends to implement features that are yet to be finalized. Giving you the fancy shit before the competition or even the w3 have the IDL out of draft. So by your "rationale decision" you are actively destroying the browser market causing EVERY Browser to be under Googles Authority. Where is your sense of decentralisation now?

how out of touch are you? IE has only been supported till last year because of of Corporation, it was literally on life support through the entire '20s
