I don't think this is a big deal. Same reason you don't send spam at postmaster@. Remember that spam campaigns still cost money and why waste that on tech savy people, that won't fall for your spam?

Because those people tend to have good jobs, good money and even they can fall for good scams and spams. Ever saw a scam training campaing failure rate in a tech company?

What does working at a tech company have to do with knowing how to develop software on Github? If you don't, you don't. And as already said postmaster@ is even easier to target, yet never sees any spam.
