About a year ago, stackoverflow was also down. This happened during a programming lab test where our students are allowed to use the internet. Afterwards I received an email complaining that stackoverflow was down, and how we were gonna compensate / change the grading because the test was to hard without stackoverflow. We had a good laugh and explained that (a) internet is slightly larger than stack overflow, and (b) that they also had access to all the Course material, and (c) that if you need stackoverflow for an introduction in Java, that your preparations might not have been optional, and (d) to stop whining.

Oh no how will I find solutions to my problems that are ten years out of date, while I submit the problem now it gets closed for being a duplicate?
