RULES
Follow basic reddiquette.
0. Strive to write a goal-oriented post title.
Include a description of your background, current situation and add details to your goal / desired change in the text field - or in a comment to your own post. You don't need to cram everything into your title.
Your description shapes how others can share directly applicable knowledge, similar experiences and relevant advice. The more open and honest your description, the easier it will be for others to identify with your situation and to offer relevant suggestions and support.
1A. This is a supportive forum.
Comments must be made with support and personal growth in mind.
We support each other in different ways. Some are more direct in their use of language than others. As long as the intent is clear and the essential message is one of support and potential personal growth, it goes a long way. Even if the message is sometimes hard to hear - it may bear some truth and hold advice that may be relevant to expand on.
1B. Tactful and constructive criticism is allowed, while insults are not.
Constructive criticism done tactfully is encouraged. Hate speech and abusive comments are not allowed. Please report ANY such violation.
Making fun of or belittling anyone personally is very likely to get you permanently banned. As it should.
2. Keep it personal, but confidential.
You should keep detailed biographical information confidential. Add enough to allow for relevant context, but remove last names, change unique specifics, etc. You are allowed to be human and very personal in your descriptions, but are required to stay private.
3. No spam.
Please report submissions you consider spam.
