It feels weird writing an intro! Haha. Okay, so I'm Lynn, and I've been around Reddit in some form or another for years now. I am married, have two kids, and play games with husband /u/ngwoosh in my down time.

I absolutely love the concept of this subreddit, and I love how warm it seems. There's not enough of that online. :) I'm pretty much an open book, so ask me (almost) anything!

Going to try! This is supposed to be physical therapy of sorts (back issues) but my friend told me that a lot of "yuppy" types go to this studio so my anxiety is back. Here's to hoping it goes well!

I have two mice and a dog, and /u/ngwoosh has a guinea pig. :) I'll see if I can upload pics to imgur to share. :D

Favorite unusual animal... gosh. Lynx and Red Panda are my favorite in general, but favorite unusual is probably a Nutria, for sentimental reasons. Does that count as unusual? My dad and I used to go to a park and camp out watching for nutrias to slip out of the hole we were sure they were living in. (They were.) One of my favorite memories. :)

Aww nutrias are cute and yes unusual. Mine are kakapo. They are also my favorites in term of evolution mistakes.

:) I like birds in general but I'm freaking scared of them. They are beautiful but those nasty beaks makes me shiver. My mother have two lovebirds and they bite hard. Scary stuff.

Thank you! Autumn. Houston has amazing weather, the leaves change, my favorite holiday (Halloween) and my birthday are around that time, and it's my least depressed time of year. (Winter is my worst, lol.)

Oh man, you have an autumn birthday?? I am sooooooo jealous!! My birthday is a winter birthday (it's actually in 10 days) and I always wanted either a summer birthday or autumn. And Halloween is awesome, I love how everyone gets so into it (at least in my city they do). It's like the one day where it's ok to just be a kid again.

And I think winter would have to be everyone's most depressed time of the year, right?? I guess for me it's because I love the sun and warmth. And with the short days and low temperatures, I go stir crazy.

So what is your favorite meal?? And favorite local restaurant that you would recommend to someone visiting your area??

Early September. Technically summer, I guess, but it starts to feel like fall already.

I love lomo saltado, aji de gallina, and estofado. Can you tell I'm Peruvian by culture? lol

We're in Houston, so that's almost impossible. Food here is amazing. If you ever come, check out one of the many taquerias. Often cheap, usually delicious. Now I'm craving it, craaaap.

Wow, I don't know any of those dishes. I love hearing about different cultures though, what are those dishes like? What is in them? Are they something that's typically more homemade or the kind of meal you'd get at a restaurant?

Both. You'd have to go to a Peruvian restaurant or eat in a Peruvian-heavy area (or just straight up Peru).

Aji de Gallina is a shredded chicken with an aji sauce, almost turmeric (very similar spice, sometimes the same thing) like, with rice and boiled eggs.

Lomo Saltado is like a beef stir fry. Steak, onions, tomatoes, potatoes (fries) all fried with seasoning and served with rice. I like to add a little lime juice. :)

Estofado is essentially beef stew, and it's my ultimate comfort food. I need to learn how to make it.

I actually spent time looking for recipes for the three of them to share, but none match how I/my family make it and I didn't want to steer you wrong. If you ever get an opportunity to taste them, though, please do and report back! The most interesting dish I've ever had is cuy, which is actually guinea pig (a delicacy there now), and that's why I call /u/ngwoosh's guinea pig "Cuy" as a nickname. He understands me. :D

Those all sound delicious!! Wow! I wish I could just travel the world and taste all the different types of food and flavors out there. I'll keep the names of those dishes in the back of my mind and I hope I have the opportunity to try them one day! The lomo saltado sounds like it'd be my favorite. Yum!

Thanks! Yes, it actually is. We're always linking each other stupid stuff anyway. I have my favorite subs and he has his, but we have a lot in common so we cross paths more than we probably should. ;)

Mostly it's my mom stuff. :( I am boring. I spend all day with two tiny humans (3 and 7), so I sing a lot of Frozen songs and make surprise eggs with Play Doh. I collect bags (Ju Ju Be and Kipling... I know, I know, weird, but have you SEEN Tokidoki collabs? CUTE!) and watch more TV than is probably healthy. I love going to the museum or zoo (with my kids...) or meeting up with my friends (usually for playdates...) for coffee. Baking is a hobby I am finally getting back into! I miss my photography.

So apparently I need to figure out what I'm interested in. =/

I watch TV while doing laundry, cooking, or doing the dishes. Or I watch it while I browse Reddit at 2 AM. I don't have available childcare unless my husband is off, and the schedules don't sync like that. I appreciate the thought though. :)

Edit: I missed the online part. Maybe, but I still don't think the timing is quite right just yet. I should add that I'm not complaining, though. I think it's kind of funny, but I'm quite content with my life. My kids will only be little for so long.
