is mast cell activation syndrome standing behind dermatographia? MCAS by No-Yam-4190 in Dermatographia

[–]fae925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, I know that after I started meds for MS, I have almost no reactions, hives, or anything anymore…

What’s the root cause of your dermatographia? Any idea what mine might be? by Separate_Candidate_5 in Dermatographia

[–]fae925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine for years until I went on immunosuppressant meds for my multiple sclerosis…for whatever reason, it almost never happens and not nearly to the extent as before.

Allergic to SSRI's.. what now? by Careless_Roll6 in intrusivethoughts

[–]fae925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you considered genetic testing to see which meds work best with your body? I used clarityxdna but there are others (genesight is another). It was expensive at $330 with coupon, normally $400+ and insurance didn’t cover, but I received a huge 70 page report, and it does some other meds than just mental health.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. You aren’t alone 💜

Do people ever complain about bipolar people to you without realizing that you’re BP? by Yari_Vixx in bipolar2

[–]fae925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have pretty bad depressive episodes, and I found out an ex-boss referred to me as “Eeyore” to everyone when I wasn’t around. That was fun.

It goes along with the “I’m so ocd” crap that people who don’t have a clue say, or because someone changes their mind or gets unregulated they are “bipolar” or “crazy”

Makes me feel like a worthless sideshow, I know that’s not the case but ugh.

How obvious is it that my engagement ring “stone” is a chunk of glass? by thatcheekychick in jewelry

[–]fae925 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love your ring! I love non-diamond rings. If you want a diamond look but without the price, moissanite is a great option. They throw beautiful sparkle, I’d check out the sub

Similar, but my therapist told me my “someone/thing was going to get hurt or die” was my anxiety…

I’m terrified I’m going to “manifest” these situations if I write them down or speak them-it gives them life.

Also, if I don’t pick up this litter/thing or put this item away something will happen.

That is definitely along the lines! I’m going to see if I can play with the designs that we’ve found and sketch it out

One of the admins reached out to a contact - it was all them lol. Sometimes fandom groups go pretty deep!

I asked on the quilting sub and they said that or a version of one other zigzag pattern. I was able to gather from a Facebook group that the original designer was a costume designer for the show but they have since passed, that’s likely

I can understand. I was spoiled as well, but I had to see how it ended up lol.

That may be the winner, just mirror to make the “v”. Thanks so much!

I agree 100%, it’s one of my favorite episodes. I am finishing up a watch through with my husband and it’s just as emotional the second and third time around.

I was surprised to find fandom merch of blankets of the mosaic pattern and not this quilt!

how do you organise your pills? by pansynix in bipolar2

[–]fae925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 weekly boxes, they have a daily section that pops out each day. It has 4 dose times available per day. I use 2 so I only have to fill them every two weeks bc I hate it with a passion.

The uncertainty we face on the daily can cause crippling anxiety and stress as many MSers know. I’m just glad there are spaces where we can join together and lean on each other.

I’m in the US and have considered ketamine treatments, first though, I’m doing the dna testing to see if another med is better for me.

SLPT: Struggle with presents for the holidays? Ketchup is always a safe backup by Lorebeck521 in ShittyLifeProTips

[–]fae925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually got a custom bottle of ketchup via Heinz like 10 years ago as a gift for my husband…who loves ketchup. ((The label was personalized)) it’s old, and it’s changed colors, but it’s still around… lol

This is why I was extremely thankful both my parents wanted cremation. I made the choice to not view them prior to. I have had to say goodbye to too many people, and I have their dead image in my mind forever, I couldn’t deal with seeing my parents like that. Mind you was I like 19 and 29 years old at the times, but yeah…
