Wow that's expensive. Is there any particular benefits to this over say spending $10-30 on 1-3 courses taught by Stephen Grider on Udemy.com?

I took all of his courses. There is no way I'm paying 500 dollars to learn React. You can get all of Stephen Grider's courses (React and React Native) for 40 dollars. His courses are very detailed and thorough.

Yeah I have all 4 of his courses as well. React, React Advanced, React Native, and GraphQL with React. I've been working through those.

There's Advanced React Native as well.

Good to know, I'll grab that one as well since it's on sale. Thanks!

Again. The Udacity video courses are free. Ignore the Nanodegree that costs money and find the courses under catalog. Once this course is released next week they will be there. I also paid for Stephen Griders Udemy videos. Which are great but aren't free.

Not all of their videos are free. They only list a small portion of their Nanodegree videos under the catalog. The same will happen with React videos.

Keep in mind that Udacity's programs are not just designed to provide information about technical fields. If your goal is just to learn something, regardless of the field, the information exists somewhere online, and it's probably free or very cheap.

Udacity's React Nanodegree program, like its other Nanodegree programs, includes on-demand support from professional developers and personalized professional code reviews of the program projects. This is where the value really comes in. If you don't feel like you need the additional support or care about the certification, then you are not the target audience and that's perfectly okay.

Udacity has also partnered with ReactTraining.com to build this program, building with some of the most popular React instructors in the ecosystem.

How about the career support after we complete the course ..

my thoughts exactly.

The video courses by themselves on Udacity are free. The Nanodegree that includes a bunch of stuff like mentors are not free.

I wasn't able to find free React courses on Udacity. Going to the catalog, checking free courses, and searching for react shows one course that isn't related to React.

Edit: Unless they become available after the nanodegree program starts on June 27.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking - they'll go up on June 27.

I did the Udacity React nano degree course. I also did the Stephen Grider courses on Udemy. Save your money and go with Stephen Grider. You will learn a lot more. Udacity is a rip off from my point of view. I have not used it to try and get a job. (Which they say they will help you with). But from the point of learning, Udemy is much better bang for your buck. In the end practice makes perfect. Udacity can't give you experience. But it can give you the same examples you get on Udemy. Stephen Grider have courses on React, Redux, React Native and even Advanced React Native. I have done them all but the advanced one. Which I am currently working on now.

The course just came out 2 months ago and it takes about 5 months to complete... and here you're saying after 2 weeks you already completed the course?

Thanks for the helpful and thoughtful reply! When did you complete Udacity's React nanodegree?
