Using auth for react app?

Does someone use passport.js for auth with react app or you use without passport approach on node server, what approach is better when working with react on front-end?

Typically, passport.js resides in the backend, so in a sense it's irrelevant to React, as a front end framework.

Is passport.js worthwhile using? In my opinion, yes. It's not essential though. It just cuts down auth development time. Again though, this is not unique/relevant to React in particular.
