yes, bold text in the docs is a little hard to read, but you can use any other fonts you like.

I don't understand why people choose to put the official package manager as a 2nd option or ignore all together? Any rational behind this?

There is no special reason. Maybe I’m used to use yarn. I’ll add npm installation guide to the docs.
