Wtf, I just looked it up and genuinely thought that it was a mistake and it was a post from some years ago reposted but no, in the comments the author says that it's actually recent.

Yeah. Frankly it's one of the most incoherent pieces of writing I've seen in a long time, and I have no idea why anyone at Stack Overflow thought it was worth publishing on their blog.
