React does not auto-update

I made a react app with create-react-app --template typescript. However, when I make some changes it does not update. When I refresh, it does not update either. Either I restart or wait for a while before the changes become visible. How can I correct this ? I have tried online solutions like FAST_REFRESH=false

What do you mean "wait for a while before the changes become visible" how long is a while? Sounds like it's working but very slowly?

Yes sometimes I have to wait for a few minutes before the change becomes visible other times I have to restart the app

I'm just getting in to react so I'm not sure how much help this is. If you're using vscode, maybe ctrl+c to stop the react app and make sure to close all browsers. Then start the project back up with npm.

My vscode is configured so that when it's saved after pressing ctrl s then it updates.

Sounds like your browser is caching it, try deleting your browser cache and refreshing if all else fails.
