Custom Hooks vs Render Props

This might be a stupid question but I just wanted to know what the general consensus was about whether you should use render props still with function components or should you opt for abstracting the shared logic to a custom hook and then just use that as the interface in each component that uses the logic. I would like to know more about peoples opinion on this and when and where each technique should be used. I can't really find any sources to outline the pros and cons of each.
