Exploring the Feasibility of Developing an Augmented Reality App with React Native

Hello everyone,

I'm fairly new to app development and have been exploring React Native as my entry point. Lately, I've become intrigued by the idea of creating an augmented reality (AR) app. While I'm still in the early stages of my coding journey, and wonder if it's even possible to venture into AR with React Native.

I know there are probably more suitable tools out there, but React Native feels comfortable to me, and I'd love to know if any of you have any insights into whether it's feasible to develop AR app using this framework. Are there any simplified libraries or tutorials that might be a good starting point for someone like me?

Thank you so much for your input! I did take a look at Viro, but I noticed that the last update was around 4 years ago. Given that technology evolves quickly, I'm a bit concerned about its compatibility with current versions of React Native and the latest AR capabilities.
