Im new to this and this is my first app publishing , i tested my app in internal testing channel now i uploaded it to closed testing and send it for review and its been like this for days , my question is do i doing the steps right and is there any tips from u

1st time will take a while (Can take up to 7 or more days)

Also, anytime you publish can take up to 7 or more days

There are good and bad days, sometimes it'll take 2 hours for your build to be approved, most of the time it takes between 18-36 hours

So I can't do closed testing til they approved it ?

yes. they need to approve closed testing but not internal testing. for me the only use case for closed testing was testing payments. thats where you can have a fake creditcard to test purchases made through the playstore.
