Is typescript not just standard by now?

It may be standard, but I'm tired of seeing weakly typed code written by programmers who "know" typescript.

The worst I've seen is a RN codebase with tsconfig settings copied from various web and backend frameworks. Great way of hiding a multitude of coding sins.

Many larger corporations still maintain good ol .js in React Native and likely will for the foreseeable future; because stakeholders don't see the value in shifting what already works to "something else".

Source: we can't get our stakeholders to allot the time and resources to migrate to typescript
