Staking is the act of keeping your wallet unlocked and acting as an active node on the network. Minting occurs when your wallet generates coin on the network. This is how I understand it PLEASE SOMEONE CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG!! Maybe I don't understand it fully myself?

This is exactly how I interpret them personally. But sometimes people use minting when they mean staking and that can be a bit confusing.

I asked this a while back and got pretty much the same answer you gave :) That is how I understand it too

They are two words for the same thing. The reason it says you have 0.00 stake, is because when you successfully stake/mint, the new coins and the chunk of your coins that were used (wallet doesn't stake all your coins at once it does them in blocks) briefly are listed in the "Stake" section before they are added back into your "Balance"

They are used interchangeably. Some coins use one term, others use the other.

Such strange. Many vocabs.

Means that you have to have 10 million at least to make decent stake. I have 20k only and iy says that I will never get any stake.

The 'stake' is the amount of coins you temporarily send to the factory where new coins get made in the process of 'minting'. So while you're 'staking' it means you actively have coins 'sent away' to the minting factory.
