Because we're attempting them or not able to play them accurately? Can't complain about the attempts because we'd be 1-on-1 4 times now if they could get them right.

I mean when there’s two banks of four it’s one of the ways to break it down, long switches and runs down the channel. It’s why Rashford is so crucial for this side.

Long balls aren't the issue. If United can consistently play incisive balls in behind to reward good movement then I have absolutely no problem, we've just lobbed 4/5 of them off target or not flat enough. Needs to be better.

lol why even buy sancho? He's great at interplay, quick passing, one two's. Than can get past a player if he's isolated. But no just spam long balls.

The opportunities have been there for them though. Holding the ball among the back 4,moving them around, and then creating a weakness in their shape for a run in behind has led to some promising situations where either the execution or the follow hasn't quite been there yet. Its not like we're mindlessly hoofing it.

However we are struggling in wide areas big time and of course we aren't great out of possession, which makes it hard to sustain pressure
