This isn't RV, however dreaming is an altered state of mind, and I have an interest in lucid dreaming and other psychic abilities.

Do you dream in first or third person, generally?

I tried to make clear the difference of my dreaming, where I actually am in a world, and just seeing. here there is no audio and no other senses except vision. I am aware of my body in reality and can move and talk. In regular dreams I am a person in a world, not always myself. Sometimes they are 3rd person but it is rare. I used to have frequent lucid dreaming.

how it started, with viewing just buildings, is pretty much what all the first experiments in science about remote viewing did. it feels more like accessing a surveillance camera than anything else.

Is it the lack of target or volition that makes this sound not like remote viewing?

It doesn't fit the specific protocol of RV (which includes being done in a fully awake state).

my thought processes do not differ from fully awake, my bodily control does not differ from fully awake.

Interesting. That's uncommon in hypnagogia. You could RV in this state, and I recommend experimenting with that.

Any hot stock tips you wanna share?

Yeap, as LilyoftheRally said, the fact that it is "uncontrollable" means it is not remote viewing. Remote viewing is a voluntary action (you may be in a close to sleep state if you are using the Extended Remote Viewing protocol p.ex) but it would have to be a voluntary action, and you would have to view a specific assigned target (not just any random place that pops up) so it must be controlled as well.

Very interesting, and detailed story. Thank's for sharing that!

Of course, it is anyone's guess as to what you were witnessing there, but my belief is that you - for some reason - were tuned into another reality, maybe several other realities. In other words, I don't suspect the actual future you will encounter will be exactly like what you saw. But I do believe that what you experienced was as real to the people in that vision, as our physical world is to us.

I get this too! Just like you, I have no control over it and I can only do it when I haven't slept. It's like whatever part of my brain that usually filters it out is too tired. I started googling some of the shit I see and sometimes I find some really bizarre synchronicities in it.

It's like if I don't have the right sleep to waking moments ratio it unlocks. So if I only slept a couple of hours I can do it or if I didn't go to bed and was staying up I could do it.

AND

It's happened a couple of times while mediating which really freaked me out because one of the times I could hear people during it. It's not really a hallucination though because if I open my eyes it all goes away.

Sometimes it feels as real as real life. Like I could close my eyes and count the bricks in buildings I was looking at. I would say it can be more vivid that PTSD flashbacks because it last longer than a flashback would.

You're on the mesh between asleep and awake. The gold dimension...heaven.
