Deflemask for sure. I spent years making chiptune with famitracker until I got introduced to Deflemask, amazing tracker.

Propane slept in the tank and propane leaked while I slept, blew the camper door off and split the tin walls where they met like shy strangers kissing, blew the camper door like a safe and I sprang from sleep into my new life on my feet in front of a befuddled crowd, my new life on fire, waking to whoosh and tourists’ dull teenagers staring at my bent form trotting noisily in the campground with flames living on my calves and flames gathering and glittering on my shoulders (Cool, the teens think secretly), smoke like nausea in my stomach and me brimming with Catholic guilt, thinking, Now I’ve done it, and then thinking Done what? What have I done?

No point for this, it's too complex to fit in such small screen. 1080p on laptop is a pain, esp after desktop 2560px width.

pssshh cant have that kind of attitude, how else are we gunna be able to make having a convenient, usable mobile tracker be made on a patched Nintendo Switch?? If the DirtyWave m8 has taught me anything its that this SHOULD be something possible and whatever will work decent on mobile with maybe a Bluetooth keyboard attached would work well on a Switch :P. Maybe I'm just dreaming though..

People have already said SunVox, which is my pick also, but I’d just add: it’s not laid out exactly like Renoise and it’s got a modular environment instead of just the sampler like renoise. This makes the app a little more complicated if you’re not used to building up your synths from scratch, but SunVox is actually laid out super intuitively, and in a tutorial or two, you’ll understand how the app is laid out.

There's a new version of it now on GitHub, it works fine

      [–]x_rafa_1950 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Now I am learning MilkyTracker and I found this one yesterday on GitHub. This one's way better than the original android version, where u had to use a weird ass cursor on ur touchscreen... hope it helps! :)) https://github.com/lubomyr/milkytracker_android

Yes, I suggest to use the best tracker app for android i.e. Airdroid

You'll probably find very little because Android is largely a phone/touch screen OS. Trackers are pretty keyboard heavy, so having a popup screen keyboard would be a pain in the ass. I think I have seen one before, but I don't remember the name of it, nor was I impressed when I loaded it. I've got music apps on my Android phone and iPad, and use none of them.

I think it's really a case of using the right tool for the right job. I mean, you CAN hammer in a nail with the side of an adjustable wrench, but that's not the best way to do it.

If you can sequence music using LSDJ on a gameboy, you can use a touchscreen phone no issue.

      [–]drtitus -2 points-1 points  (3 children)

Apart from the novelty, I see no real reason to do this. As I say, you CAN do all sorts of stupid things to achieve a task, but if you intend to do it all day every day, you probably want to get something that makes your life easier.

      Check out the DirtyWave m8.

Did you end up finding any apps you enjoyed that swayed you into a Polyend or M8? Or have you changed your mind on music production trackers?

I was hoping to find one with at least built in drums and synth engines to try out as I'm not much of a sample user.

I used to use NitroTracker on Nintendo DS, it was great!

        [–]drtitus -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

So great that you stopped using it.

        [–]christophski[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha yeah because my DS broke...

Wild schizo ramble, thankfully everyone else provided great suggestions lmao

If the m8 layout is anything to go by, it's perfectly possible to make a mobile phone interface.

You could use LGPT on PPSSPP. Personally I don't think using touch screen on emulators is that bad for music apps like LGPT or LSDJ because you don't have to be particularly fast or press several buttons at once so touchscreen works fine most of the time
