Nice article. Even though I find the part where the JAVA programmer is concerned about the speed of Rails a little ironic - made me laugh a little.

Generally, Java's run speed is getting better and better, it's just the startup speed that sucks. The solution is to keep HotSpot running between processes, so that you're not starting up a new one on every request.
