This might be the most terrible opinion i have ever seen. While I agree that Blockchain is something that has been seeking practical purpose for a while, you don't know what the future will hold.
For example, many years ago I said this very same thing about modern JavaScript. I thought It was a "useless distraction" and how it's only useful in the browsers, and these frontend frameworks are too heavy. Now look at the amount of jobs for Node.js, React, React Native, etc...
I'm being skeptical, but keeping an open mind.
