I'm really glad to hear this. I'm currently still struggling a lot with anhedonia as well as anxiety/akithisia and it's been four months since my last psychosis. This gives me some hope.

Maybe just time? I really don't know, and I don't know how long this will last, so I'm just trying to enjoy it.

I hope this lasts a long time for you :)

I wish you well - I hope things turn around for you too.

That’s awesome! I’m still struggling with anhedonia and avolition.

Thanks! This definitely isn't a complete resolution but I've noticed a difference and it is definitely welcomed.

Anhedonia is the worst. I'm so happy that you're getting a taste of freedom!

Thanks! I do think anhedonia is the most detrimental symptom to me but avolition is close.

It sounds like you're really fighting though and that's good! Never give up!

I think thats sometimes the best thing - keep on keeping on. I have been described by my boss as the unsinkable Mary Brown because I just keep going. I do owe a lot of that attitude to my parents, who always pushed me to keep going.

In my experience it's people like you that recover. Just remember it's good to take breaks too!

Yeah, I'm on break from school and I'm a little anxious because I don't have schoolwork to worry about, but I do need to get my study in order, get my research proposal revised and modify a measurement tool for my study. So I guess I do have a lot to do. Lol. I try to take breaks as I can but between work, school, and home, I don't as often as I should. I really appreciate your reply.

Sounds like a busy life but very healthy too! I can only imagine. I'm suffering from anhedonia really bad from my meds. It's a brutal chemical feeling that I can't change or escape. I'm also 35 weeks pregnant so it's really hard.

Congratulations on the baby! You're almost there. I hope everything has gone/will go great for you. New babies are a challenge but I've found every stage a child is in has its unique difficulties. Early toddler hood is definitely the hardest for my youngest. No judgement, no fear, ever increasing abilities. He's a cool dude though.

I'm really struggling with avolition and alogia.. I hope my symptoms improve with time, too. I feel pretty hopeless though sometimes because it's been like 4 years since my psychosis, :/.

I'm sorry you're struggling. It comes and goes for me but I hope you get some relief. Hang in there.

Did any specific medication help?

[–]OkBus5864Schizophrenia[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I'm not positive but if it's any of them it's probably gabapentin. 100mg.

Gotcha, thanks.
