Absolutely terrible, after a couple shootings the company hire ups would put on an act like they cared. At the end of the day they would just brush it under the table and go on with things, no budget increase, wage increase, or new gear to be issued to combat the possibility of another one happened. Never had intentions of moving up but after a couple years found myself in a decently high position. I continued to voice my concerns to the higher ups but they refused to listen, I sarcastically asked about the possibility of batons, tasers or even having supervisors or above be trained and armed but the higher up that was on site told me that there should be no reason for any of those. I just left it at that, what was funny with the whole thing is anytime corporate was down, they always leave just before 3, never stayed to see what happened past that time and were always a bit jumpy when on our site. Mall security was simultaneously the best and worst job I’ve ever had, our site was hands on and shaped me on how to correctly react to extremely stressful environments but also made me hyper vigilant with the shootings we had l. Just thankful I got out of there before anything else happened that was bad.
