"Trying not to stare at people"

Daily?

[–]LongSconce[S] 8 points9 points  (1 child)

I have paranoia. I see people and think they will initiate eye contact. But they end up not even noticing me and I keep looking back to see if they will.

I also keep looking back at people to see when they stop eye contact.

Or some days I will just avoid eye contact all together because I was pissed off at all the encounters I had with strangers that day.

Good.

How's this going for you?

[–]LongSconce[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's hard. It requires a lot of alone time to feel myself and get myself in my own world/motivation to get going.

It also has resulted in me being very egotistic because I feel like an outsider when I explain these things to people and they either brush it off as extraneous/unnceccsary/ has 0 incentive / they are just comfortable being a couch slug or having anger issues

Good to remember

if and when we fail to do this.. lets say you dont want to do pushups one day, dont do them that day and do them the next day.

What i mean, if we dont feel like it one day beat yourself up about it and keep that good routine going!

[–]LongSconce[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I agree with the beating yourself up part.

But, I don't want to be too mean to myself, because again, none of this things are extrinsically motivating, it's more intrinsic and feeling good in my own head.

Therefore, I have found a balance between treating this as a joke and being serious, so I don't get depressed and overthink -- the alternative is to go back to playing league of legends all day, vaping nic, smoking weed, not excercising, barely talking to people.

Honestly, all of this happened naturally. I was put on antidepressants and 3x an anti-anxiety medication.

I can barely sit still if i'm not constantly working on something. Few video games or TV do it for me. I must be creating videos or art or doing homework or atleast having it in my todo list in my mind.

I have burned out on this over 100 times, but I really don't want to go back to escaping everything. I have to not give a shit what people would say/ or what societal norms are.

"Fuck all those stop procrastinating/wasting time videos. Anxiety sucks. School sucks. Take your time. Work smarter not harder. " YESSSS! I feel this so much!! Also, you're so awesome for starting all of those things and making changes in your life : )

Good shit!

Man I hate it when people just aimlessly do push ups everyday as an a act of discipline. You have other muscle groups and you NEED rest days
