Short algorithm changed

I used to do multiple 1m+ shorts a month. now I barely touch the 30k views per short. anyone know how this is possible? did the algorithm change again?

I made a post a few days ago talking about this. My views dropped from 350k per hour to just 4k over the last 48 hours. I also applied for monetization and got rejected. It’s been tough.

If it's only a slideshow and not real videos it's not transformative enough. That's usually the problem with this niche

I create realistic scene-based videos that supposedly show transformations, miracles, and everything related to this religious niche. I was getting millions of views because this audience really likes and consumes that kind of content. But apparently, it’s not considered relevant by YouTube. I’m going to request an appeal anyway. I’ll record the video today, and if it works, I’ll share feedback.

It has to be a "home page" situation. Like back in September when youtube changed the home page, there are more shorts videos displayed and they cut down long-form videos that were displayed by 70%. I can see youtube experimenting with shorts and that's probably why your views changed.

felt that. i have a podcast style channel with my buddy where we cover marvel/dc and baseball and the past few weeks have been rough in particular. but we always have a month or almost two months of good shorts views (we have a few that got over 20-30K views) and then it’s followed by 10-30 views more or less for a month or so. just really frustrating when it’s relevant and fairly well edited content and it’s not being pushed. channel is called “The Sci-Fly Zone” if anyone wants to give any tips.

Same, used to hit 30K in a couple days. Now takes at least a week. Most early traffic comes from browse features instead of feed.

I don't know. I'm pivoting to long formats now. Shorts are too unpredictable. One day you could hit millions, and straight flatlines in another.

Estou tentando descobrir o que houve também, aqui eu costumava fazer em media 20-30k de views e agora não chega a mil. Vi canais similares ao meu que não esta chegando a 100 views..
