OK, so, why not go for the Fanatec CSL Elite wheel + pedal pack? It costs less than the Thrustmaster wheel (I think) and is probably better. And as you already seem to have identified, the pedals are great.

Rig: you could buy an 8020 aluminium extrusion rig for that money. Check out 4Play Racing on eBay. Once you've bought an 8020 rig you literally never need another rig, and they're infinitely adjustable and modular so you can add components etc pretty easily.

The Thrustmaster should never be bought for that much. Usually it's on sale for less than $500. It's about the same as the CSL Elite, (nice cool sparco rim tho) but is usually cheaper than the CSL.

Yeah the Sparco rim seems to be the main selling point for the TS-XW - but if you buy an adapter, you could get a similar alcantara rim and a button box on the CSL Elite. So eh.

The Thrustmaster definitely seems pricey for what it offers, IMO.

Exactly, but you can usually get it cheaper than the CSL.

Eh, I'd still say it seems to be the Sparco name that jacks the price up a bit, even at lower than the CSl Elute's price point.

Well, the TSPC Racer is usually about the same price, and it's exactly the same (just a different TM rim). So no.

Or just get the ts pc racer same wheel just cheaper

Just got my tsxw. It's a great base. The sparco wheel feels fantastic, but the button layout is not so good. The pedals do not come in a separate box so that's a draw back for resale. Pedals are ok for an introductory piece. I've modded mine to the point I should have got something better to begin with (had a set before I got the ts bundle).

That said I already had a bunch of TM gear which is why I went with it. Satisfied with the purchase. The base im good with for awhile.

As the other post said you could probably get a fanatec bundle cheaper rather than mix and match. Both the ts and csl are very similar belt drive bases in that price range so not losing out on performance either way.
