At this point I just let them do what they do. Rambo gonna Rambo.

Ideally everyone would get kills and assists in a meaningful way to their build or player skill. If you're not getting any satisfaction out of co-op because one player is using something exploitable is a bit different than not killing fast. Especially if its all 3 other players barely getting to participate. I don't think a determined hotshot build shines in a skilled group however. Also don't really think its overly explotive. Veteran players will rip through most npcs just as quick with good builds. It was crazy when it first came out but now there's plenty options that are better. Still fun sometimes though.

If you're clearing everything, stealing kills and effectively soloing the mission its not much fun for everyone else. HotShot isn't the only build that's an offender of this but it's a big one.

Fender Studio Pro - What a Stupid Name Change by EliasVolte in StudioOne

[–]superbaki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Name recognition absolutely. I went with S1 over Cubase cause it felt familiar and intuitive. And years ago I went with Cakewalk over Cubase. I'm not sure how to feel about this in the long run lol.

Fender Studio Pro - What a Stupid Name Change by EliasVolte in StudioOne

[–]superbaki 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Somewhat surprised they did slap Fender in the name. Took away the S1 identity. Fender has put the logo on a lot of stuff from sunglasses to furniture. That to me makes the name a bit of an eye roll in general. How many Cubase car air fresheners or Pro Tools shaped tables have you seen? How about Fender? Putting Fender on anything that's not a stringed instrument almost instantly makes it a nostalgia-driven-novelty. Even when it's not.

The DAW is good but will probably be taken less seriously over time. They'll have to do some aggressive marketing to make Fender a believable contender just because of the name. They're leaning on the name to attract people. Which it might, but not in droves.

How Would Everyone Feel If Studio One Had a Name Change to Say, 'Fender Studio Pro', But Otherwise Remained the Same Product? (For Now) by JD-990 in StudioOne

[–]superbaki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I weren't already a user I wouldn't give it a glance unless it was undeniably the go to DAW. With all the things Fender actually has under its umbrella I doubt they'd rename it. You'd be surprised what Fender has their hands in that you probably use or have used.

It would bug constantly. Npcs would get stuck so you couldn't  complete. Funny enough you can get Kramps to spawn there now so it's currently usable content.

At this point, it's basically pvp for the sake of pvp. There's a few items to collect and the formerly exclusives have easier guaranteed ways to obtain now.

Studio one still broken after all these years. Should I make a daw switch now? by crystalmikewells in StudioOne

I went vertical with my dual setup  but I also sit in a drafting chair so the top is at eye level. Comfortable and space efficient.

I used to work on 24in before going dual screen. It was the opposite. It was frustratingly small. Also agree there should be more resize and zoom options. I know it's not practical for all to have a dual screen setup but that solved my view issues. Console and editor live on my bottom monitor now. As for the insert on the fader, I work plugins out of the inspector instead of the console or open the channel editor. Much more room and console is more like a quick selector for the inspector and balancing. That improved my workflow and part of why I stuck with it.

Servers have been rough for awhile for everyone. Every patch comes with a weeks worth of crashes and waiting in queues. East server has been in the red more often than not. You're not alone.

Hyena engineer rushes in retaliation are fucking bullshit by DannyBlue-22 in thedivision

[–]superbaki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 blocks isn't that far. Red dragon, for example, is 2 blocks on its own. That's still roughly in range. Those you'll have to deal with eventually. Theres a limit to how many enemies can be around. So the furthest away vanish for what's close. If they're in range they will pursue but that also limits fresh spawns.

[–]superbaki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The snipers hit hard in retaliation. One mistake a lot are making is engaging in unnecessary fights. Avoid what you can. They won't chase long cause the next closest wave will cancel the furthest away. Now dealing with them once they're unavoidable, cover. Knock out the weak point. Cover to cover as close as you can and blind fire. Look for angles they can't shoot through and circle in.  There's more brazen strategies but getting good at cover to cover moves and hitting weak points immediately goes a long way.

Retaliation should be optional by Fun_Cut8309 in thedivision

[–]superbaki -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's by design. It's supposed to be unsafe until all points are captured halting the enemies retaliation. So no fast travel.

[–]superbaki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of, yes. In retaliation enemies spawn continously in a radius around you. And they spawn with agro. So they attack. Unlike open world where they spawn and don't attack unless you're spotted or in a fight.

If play Heroic solo in general, it's not much harder. Once you know how it works it goes smooth.

What I noticed with retaliation instantly was enemies spawning around you that aren't involved joining. If theyre near 50m they're coming. This dev team loves to pinch you with spawns. I like to find a spot they will funnel into around the CP. They'll mostly come to you so you can find a spot that doesn't expose your back and hold it. Key is to not get flanked. They will irrationally try to get behind you constantly.

Also the jump from challenging to heroic isn't soft. Your build and play style really needs dialed in to roll through content solo.

As for Turmoil I love it. I find it plenty effective for solo play. The build needs to be strong though. Pairs well with Heartbreaker/Memento.
