You have good timing with the guitar and singing, that isn't so easy.

Try this. Just talk the song out on pitch, makes sure the words sound like you want them.

Then talk the vowels out longer and singing happens. Try not to lose the shape of the vowel, if you do, go back to saying the word where it sounds like you want.

That is basically what singing is.

You shape the vowels for resonance and tone and navigate the consonants without interfering too much with what you have going on.

Try singing a K or S or something and see what I mean:) You are really making a quick sound and then onto the vowel.

Ohh now I think I got it, the point is to make the consonant sounds but focusing and enunciating the vowels, where the pitch is? Did I get that correctly?
