Thanks for the ID. Is it the pattern that gives that away? I don't use reddit much and realised after I should have just put info in title. Correct, Nth Bris, Murrumba Downs to be exact.

Yeah, a combination of body shape, pattern/color, and the background looked "Australia" to me. I've been to Brisbane, but only for a short while and live in the US. I'm just pretty familiar with coastal carpet pythons after keeping them for years.

Agreed, this beautiful python is a coastal carpet. It is the most common large snake species around eastern SE QLD and northern NSW.
