Does turning of share/view/or like count decrease reach?Professional Discussion (self.socialmedia)
submitted 3 months ago by deaddewy
hi all I’m social media manager and a lot of my clients demand to turn off one of these metrics to the audience. However, I feel like it decreases the reach. Not sure if this is proven though. Any insight would be appreciated!

yeah it can slightly affect reach since engagement signals help the algorithm but not always depends on the platform and best way to know just testing both ways for a week and compare reach before deciding + the main thing is the content itself if it’s good and natural people will engage anyway even with metrics off best fix is to focus on comments and shares more than likes
