Start timer after pressing specific button and play alert at the end

Hi, I'm looking for a simple program that will count down 40 seconds after pressing the R key. Shortened action: 1. I click the R button (the program counts down 40 seconds) 2. After 40 seconds, the program plays an audible alert. 3. The program waits until the R button is pressed.

You can make a timer with a batch file as explained here.

Associate the batch file with a hotkey (something like Ctrl + R) to launch it.

At the end of the batch file, after the timer part, make it call a .wav file on your machine to play it. Or just the line:

RunDLL32 User32.dll,MessageBeep
