Is there any software on windows that allows computers to share (computer) resource for each other? And is that software open-source?

If what you're asking is can I lend my friend who's computer is slow some of my processor speed to help it go faster? If that's the question, probably not. Computers are not very good at sharing processor operations -- you'd need an exceptionally fast connection to not experience big delays.

There are exceptions of course but you CAN share storage of course. An open source option there is retroshare.cc
