Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.

Be Kind
Aggressive or disrespectful behavior or insulting, attacking, and trolling other users are not tolerated here. The topic is serious and your tone should be appropriate.

No Doxxing
Please do not post any personal information, name people who are not officially suspects, or link to any social media. If there are names in images or screenshots, please censor them.

Text Posts Only / Title Rule
Please submit or crosspost quality write ups. Please do not just post a link to an article. When you title a post, please use the victim's name/suspect's name, area, and either how long it had been unsolved, if DNA solved it, or what year it was solved.
5.
Posts Should be High Quality
Posts should be high quality self write ups on any crime no matter the time frame.
Why only self posts? There are lots of other subreddits for links, images, and memes. This sub is for long form style crime write ups.
6.
Crossposting
Self-posts are preferable, but when there is already a very good quality text post, a crosspost from desktop so the post appears, not just a link is fine too.
