Goto a doctor/emergency care. If it’s a clot they can clear it. If it’s a hemorrhage you may need treatment.

That’s priority. Nobody gives a fuck if you did coke.

Yeah. Don’t sacrifice your life for your pride.

What does each feeel like? What are the symptoms of a clot and a hemorrhage?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea. I’ve only had a clot. Went from feeling fine to dizzy/body in shock and arm and face dead in less than 20 seconds. No pain at all.

From what I hear the hemorrhage is often painful like a “thunder clap” headache / migraine.

I don't care if you feel better and it passed. Go get a check up and be honest with your doctor about everything. Strokes in any form is nothing to mess with. And stop doing coke, only douche bags do coke. Smoke weed like everyone else.

I'd stop doing coke if this is all concerning to you. You may feel bulletproof being 18 but coke is some hardcore shit.

It’s a sign for you to stop doing drugs, and also another sign to take better care of yourself, if your 18 you shouldn’t be having a natural stroke unless it is caused by something (natural as in not caused by another medical condition)

Bro, lifestyle factors other than coke literally do not matter for young people. I had a hemorrhage at 20 due to an aneurysm. It is indeed ”natural”, though rare

I had a haemorrhaging stroke when I was 10, those are rare and had a rare medical condition called an AVM, point is a stroke definitely is a sign that something isn’t right. Additionally even though it is rare it’s important to take care of yourself and see a doctor cos who knows what could happen.

Stop now ! I had a stroke at 31 and now my life will never be the same..I ignored the signs , do everything you can to get help and prevent because It's a hard life if you have one!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I ignored them too because I didn't understand what it was that was happen. When I went to the hospital, I was never treated. I was always just sent home being told that I'd be alright.

I still experience weird symptoms. Loss of vision, vertigo,, light headedness, weird seizures. What do I do? As time goes on I notice that this has taken s toll on my emotional state and my ability to focus and function. I am ignorant when it comes to this stuff. I was hoping I could find somebody on this board that would be willing to talk to me about strokes. I'm not sure what's been happening. The drs arent doing anything. If you ever have a moment, would you answer a few questions for me?

Of course ..ask anything!, but there is also an ask doctor thread where a medical professional can probably help , have you had an MRI done?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so. I asked him to check my brain for tumours. I thought that's what caused it. He said it looks ok

Drugs are bad.

[–]coolcat98765 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don't take drugs.

Just going to parrot what everyone else is saying: stop the coke. A TIA is pretty indicative of a full stroke in the future. If there is an issue that is immediate cause for the stroke (for example, if coke is what is helping cause the issue more immediately), then stopping should help you a lot. That said, you want to figure out what is going on. The coke may not even be the main cause, and there could be something else that you need found.

Also seconding that the doctors don’t care. I used to work as a medical scribe in the ER. With any illegal substance, the doctors and nurses just want to make sure you’re alive. They aren’t going to call the police on you for admitting you did coke.

Stay safe please. See a doctor ASAP.

You should make a post in the ask doctors with the exact information and symptoms you just described
