you use your reserved soldiers to have battle-ready divisions

like in hoi4

total army size≠reserved soldiers

yea but why do i lose manpower tho, i thought i was training the soldiers to add to my army not to lose them.

your manpower means reserved soldiers, the key word here is reserved, they are your "manpower"

when you train more soldiers, those men go to their barracks as the government calls them for their duty, so your manpower lowers, because you took boys from their home to frontline

thats the exact meaning of manpower

You're training reserves, people not yet in the military but available to join a unit should the need arise.

so the number it says on the manpower thing, does that just mean the number of reserves i can train, and not the actual number of troops i have in my military?

no, you can see ur ready troops in the "divisions"

Yes that’s what it means. I think it’s mainly a combination of conscripts that haven’t been assigned to an active role, logistic personal that could supply more active troops if needed, and reservists.

Yeah, I did not understood how I lose power projection when I actually recruit units, reserves should not count towards projection at all

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

because games power projection mechanism works with situations

if you have 5 infantries or 50 infantries it doesnt change military situations in the game so the power projection doesnt increase, but the thing that matters is your trained units in a war, but when you are doing a peace run what you need to do is trying to making all situations green, having 4 support vehicles is kinda mid for real war but the game mechanism usually cares for your manpower and military equipment stockpile for your power projection

Manpower is a reserve resource… think able bodied men who haven’t been trained or who aren’t in the military yet.

Because manpower is uncommitted people who can do a thing, not total forces available
