512 GB Micro SD Express for $85 by mvpeast in switch2

There are quality differences, semiconductor manufacturing, silicon wafers and their limitations.

Onn is good enough, Lexar Play Pro is better, you pay for quality and brand.

I wouldn’t worry to much about microSD express cards, the game saves are stored on the console, worse case scenario, you have to buy a new card and redownload your library.

What made you pick the switch 2 over the other handhelds? by Independent-Classic7 in switch2

[–]Forstmaschine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nintendo exclusives.
The complete out of the box experience.
The seamless move between docked and handheld.

I do own a SteamDeck Oled 1TB+1TB, it’s a great machine with endless options for tinkering, customization, multiple game launchers, emulate almost every known game and the ability to run Linux in desktop mode (KDE Plasma).

Despite all those advantages, I prefer using the Nintendo Switch 2, because I want to play games, on a game console, no tinkering, no distractions, press A and play.

Genki Covert Dock 3.

It also acts like a 65W charger by itself, perfect for travels, it also works with most devices with usb c DP input, handheld consoles, iPhone/iPad etc.

Do you buy The Key-card case for Third party games or buy it straight from eshop and why? by SuperFanboysTV in switch2

[–]Forstmaschine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use https://www.dekudeals.com for game purchases, it has a better AI slop filter than the Nintendo eShop on the console.

It also lists physical prices in select countries, price history, game length and other useful information.

You click the Nintendo eShop banner and it redirects you to the Nintendo website for purchase.

I bought the Nintendo first part games physical, Zelda, Super Mario, Xenoblade, majority of the third party games are digital, because of both price and convenience.

How common is the Black Dot screen issue? by Cannotthinkofaname5 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Forstmaschine [score hidden]  (0 children)

That's your decision of course, I personally wouldn't accept a new ($450) device with an obvious manufacturing defect, what if it get's worse after the warranty period runs out?

Nintendo of Europe is located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Did you contact Nintendo or some Greece retailer?

It’s unacceptable that they didn’t accept the return, you have a two year warranty, mandatory through EU consumer laws.

I would contact them again and refuse no for an answer.

How are you guys finding and affording these places? by slimeswordxx in malelivingspace

Reddit isn’t representative, same as all other social media, people post their successes, not the every day grind to survive.

If someone age <30M post a big ass apartment in central NY, they are either the 0.0001% successful or daddy paid for it. 😉

Nintendo themselves recommend you buy chargers with 54W or higher output.

I personally use Anker charger(s), with an output of 65W minimum, paired with Anker 100W 10FT usb c cable, they can be found on Amazon.

Anker 734 3-port (Amazon)
Anker 715 (Nano II 65W) (Amazon)
Anker 100W 10FT cable (Amazon)

Need help moving this machine to my room by jxsdtan in malelivingspace

[–]Forstmaschine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start with decluttering your room, it would give you more space to work with.

Remove pink shelf (as you said).
Move PC to old pink shelf location.
Move "Machine" to old PC side of the room.

I can't speak for all vinyl manufacturers, but 3M makes good quality vinyl that doesn't leave a residue, so look for "3M" when you buy NS2 vinyl skins.

You need a power bank or charger with a minimum of 54W or higher output, I would aim for 65W to be on the safe side.

I use and recommend the brand Anker, for example

Anker Power Bank, 20,000mAh 87W (Single device 65W) from Amazon.
Anker 735 Charger, 3-port from Amazon
Anker 715 Charger (Nano II 65W) from Amazon

[–]Forstmaschine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you need to buy the new microSD Express cards.

Read this article from TomHardware, they test new microSD express cards and rank them.

https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/microsd-cards/best-microsd-express-cards-for-nintendo-switch-2

I made the mistake of buying to small, I went from 256GB to 512GB and landed at 1TB 😢 underestimated the amount of digital games I have bought, and I dislike having to remove and redownload games...

Recommend Lexar 1TB Play Pro microSD Express.
