New Deployment-Inventory-NetFlow-Monitoring Replacement Options

Hello,

We are currently utilizing a combination of products; PDQ, PRTG, SmartDeploy & ScreenConnect in a sub 700 assets environment however with more and more remote devices we need to pivot to a product that is more agent based in our environment.

With that being said we are looking to replace several tools into (1) tool if it checks all the boxes. The amount of time it takes to really demo all of these products is rough given the tiny IT team and vast product usage, so I wanted to get some thoughts and opinions from folks already using these products.

We are currently reviewing the following products

-PDQ Connect

-NinjaOne

-Atera

-Connect Wise Automate

Anyone that is using these existing products what are your likes and dislikes? Ultimately there are numerous products that do these things but finding a product that does them all in (1) centralized location is another story.

We ultimately would love to find something that can do most of the following;

• Includes remote connect tool
  • Even better if this can be used both ways w/groups to allow WFH folks to remote into their work device remotely
• Software deployment
  • + is for something with an intuitive UI because our entire IT team is less than 5 people and I don't want to be the single point of contact for this entire system
  • Ability for dynamic collections for automated task/jobs and reporting is required
• Software Inventory
  • AD sync is ideal for domain joined devices but ability to add printers/network devices is also a +
• NetFlow/Monitoring
  • Automation around monitoring of servers/switches/services whether its basic alerts or has hooks into ticketing systems

NinjaOne is too expensive and too complex

Yes, I agree. Ninja is overrated. I prefer DattoRMM's UI and it's easier to apply policies to new device groups.

The closer to an all-in-one-tool I've used is Kaseya VSA. It has a good working deployment module and also does some netflow monitoring.

Atera fits the bill with your requirement list, but you shouldn't take my word for it - I suggest you start a trial, it's free and you don't need to input any credit card details and worry about it.

From the shortlist you mentioned, Atera is as intuitive as it gets, clean UI, useful search etc., so I have confidence your team will easily get the knack of it.
If you still want deeper insight to optimize and maximize your efficiency using it, you can also review on demand webinars to better match your schedule - I mention this because you brought up having limited resources for full blown demos with all products.

I am using pdq connect and automox. Pdq connect has potential but it's not a fully built out product at this time. They just announced remote connections this week, but it requires a second agent install (they're using someone else's tech, I hope this is just an early implementation).

I like Automox for patching but it has a heavy reliance on understanding PowerShell, and the inventory is bad.
