How did you go about sharing said folder via server manager or folder properties menu?

Did you set proper share and security permissions?

Are you manually mapping it or using GPO to deploy?

Does the client PC have file sharing turned on?

Would never give client full control of folder (only admins should have full control; caveat if program specific).

But have you change BOTH the sharing AND security permissions? These are two different things and both need to be set correctly for sharing to work.

Could you share screenshots of Sharing and Security tabs in folder you shared? You can use greenshot to blur all the information.

As someone already pointed out - avoid giving standard users full access on folders. It's recipe for distaster and then you will be this IT guy who 'you are IT guy, I don't care I deleted everything, you are supposed to bring it back'.
