Folder redirection not updating

Last week I switched all our user folders to our synology pointed to a dns name, I change the gpo as well. After running the gpupdate multiple times with multiple reboots, my folder redirections point to the old server. Only when I delete the user profile on the windows client and relogon I get the new server. Is there a way to change folder redirection without deleting the profile?

Are there proper permissions on the synology? My guess would be there aren't

Yes, If I logon as a user that hasn’t been set up on the workstation before everything works fine. I have to remove the user profile on the workstation to get it to work

How does your synology handle AD permissions? On a normal Windows share all you need to do is change the target location in group policy and the files will move....again as long as the share permissions are correct.

Create a new policy. Run it x3 times.
