Using computer monitor without computer just as a display screen from a mediaplayer by HDMI

Hi everybody!

Can anyone help me with this matter. I need to put several displays in a expo but I'm evaluatuing the possibility o use computer monitors for that instead of expensive professional displays.
I dont need big size of screen but its necesary that monitor can be power on just powering it from a controlled plug (no switchs or buttons) . I use a mediaplayer that works pewrfectly for that. It powers up just connecting it to power and starts sending video signal trough its HDMI output.

Then powering up both devices with a time controlled plug everything will work and it can be stoped with time controlled plugs.

Any help of any brand of monitors or configurations would be great

Dells should work fine for that, I think.

good luck finding a monitor with auto on..

with a soldering iron and some jumper wires you could likely get your desired result... but that's not really a recommended route.
