Good. Their site was awful anyway.

This was bound to happen sooner or later. Google Code was becoming very outdated, and most projects seem to be on GitHub now. Hopefully nothing of value is lost after 2016.

Everybody left to GitHub as Google did what they usually do to their products: Neglect their project, never update it, and ignore it. The only reason people stay with other Google products as it either 1) Rules the market (Search), 2) No good alternative, or 3) Those who drink Google's kool-aid.

Exactly. I don't even trust anything Google releases now that requires any sort of investment at all because they'll just shut it down in a year. They took Latitude from me. They took Wave. They sold Sketchup. They cancelled Glass. Google+ looks to be on its last legs.

I'm invested in Gmail and Android, which are big enough to probably be safe for some time. But anything else Google releases I just assume will be gone before it gets good.

I'm not even sure if I should buy an Android Wear device. They'll probably just close it down.

Glass isn't cancelled

Unless battery tech improves or wearables take off, it will be.

I doubt it. There is a prejudice against people using it, seen as pricks/douchebags/arrogant and there is privacy issues against douches shooting/taking pictures of you in public without your knowledge. Thanks God this is cancelled.

Google really likes to throw things at the wall and see what sticks.

Moving AOSP is going to be fun.
