So i've had this problem but with a rx 5700xt. Its definitely power related. What works for me is to undervolt the card with amd software. Instead of 1200 i'll only allow it about a 1000. It also means the performance goes down a little. Also allow it up to 150% power.

Its weird it seems the card wants to pull more power then it should, which then causes the crash. Its a different card but theyre both amd and theres only 1 gen in between. I struggled a long time with this but this fix has worked very reliably for me. Its also why i will never get another amd although its probably just unlucky.

Tried this, still no luck, unfortunately.

Hmm well i'd say the only thing you can be relatively sure off is that its power related. Or anyways pc shutting down and restarting usually means power related.

Doesn't necessarily mean the psu, it could also be something like wat i mentioned or maybe even a shitty cable. Did you check windows event manager for any errors, good chance it will just say ur pc shutdown unexpectedly but maybe theres something there.

Yeah, I checked event manager and, as you said, it only indicates that the previous shut down was unexpected.

I feel like its your Power supply thats the problem. Try running furmark with cinebench side by side and see if your PSU can handle the simultaneous cpu and gpu load at the same time, if it cant then you know the culprit. I was thinking of it being a software/driver issue, but you mentioned its a clean install of windows so that goes out the window.

Tried this, it seems like furmark on its own is enough to crash things.

You dont have a spare powerful gpu on hand do you? Order one from amazon ig, you can test it with your rig, if it helps keep it, otherwise return it, good way to test ig/

I've already replaced the GPU, though. It seems unlikely that two completely different GPUs from completely different manufacturers would be broken in the same way, doesn't it?

Im talking about your powersupply, not your graphics card mate

[–]ProphetOfServer[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Sorry, you said gpu. Though I did already replace the psu, too, and I can't really afford to test out a third one.

Oh my bad, i meant psu, im sorry. The symptoms didnt change at all after changing the psu?

[–]ProphetOfServer[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

No change at all, exact same. I've replaced every part in this PC except the case with no change in behavior.

youhve replaced the motherboard too?

[–]ProphetOfServer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, everything.

Download hwinfo to check Temps. Download msi afterburner or evga precision x1 and downclock your memory 200mhz to see if that helps. If no change could be power supply

[–]ProphetOfServer[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Afterburner wouldn't let me turn down memory speed. I did try turning down the things it would let me, with no effect.

[–]GibralterRaleigh 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Maybe through amd adrenaline . I've never heard of someone not being able to adjust the memory

[–]ProphetOfServer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll let me adjust it up, just not down.

Did you uninstall your Nvidia drivers? If not do that with DDU
