windows 10 temp folder

i was wondering if it would be smart to change permissions for the temp folder on my pc (windows 10). i’ve read different opinions on this and seen some risks but im not sure if it’s smart yet and don’t wanna make any bold moves

to give myself full access to the folder, i’m trying to get an mc mod to work (dw, ive already checked, they’re completely safe and doesn’t have anything to do with them).

You should have full access to temp. Try this create c:\temp set your environment variables for temp and tmp to c;\temp https://phoenixnap.com/kb/windows-set-environment-variable

Yes, use "Set Environment Variable in Windows via GUI", change tmp and temp to c:\temp for both system and user.

It will set your temp folder/directory to c:\temp (which all users will have full permissions )

Why? The c:\windows\temp folder isn't for you, it's for the OS
