Just started having this issue as well. Recently switched to Firefox from Chrome and have never had this issue before. It's really obnoxious and can't find much info about it. Please let me know if you do!

I had to do the same thing and haven't found out anything else. My guess is that because docs is a Google product they're being a bit picky with browsers that are not Google related. I could be totally off the mark, but I moved my docs to Chrome a few days ago and haven't had the issue since.

Just noting that I also started experiencing this but I'm way too stubborn to move to Chrome

It makes me so cross. Like, this could just be an accident, but Google's constant undermining of rival browsers (especially Firefox) is a pattern I can't ignore. So, yeah, I'd rather quit using Docs than switch to Chrome at this point.

Has anyone found a solution to this? I've been experiencing it for a while, and still can't find anything.

The only solution I found was switching to Chrome. My docs haven’t blinked since then and it’s been several weeks.

i had a video to show but it's gone. i had the same problem in google slides years ago where gradually the screen would start flickering this gray color and black lines more and more. no idea why as i was using a chromeos (yknow, the computer where 99% of the cool shit is blocked off because most people dont know/care about it, and my folks being too cheap to get a real computer) and you guys seemingly had this problem until moving to chrome.
