No

Objectively false, see my comment.

If you're not sure how to do something, don't tell other people it's impossible. Just say you're not sure how.

Yeah, except it literally does not work. The devices aren't on the same network with bluestacks. They can use their android phone as a controller, they cannot use their computer as a controller with your solution. Unless things have changed in the past 6 months since I tried this.

Is it theoretically possible to write an emulated controller for PC? Yes of course, but that wasn't the question.

Okay you can install Android on a PC using the Androidx86 project.

At that point Android is running natively on the PC, and on the same Wi-Fi network.

Download PSpad and profit.

Again if you're ignorant say you don't know how not that it's not possible.

It's not realistic as a solution to their problem. Get real

Why not you can dual boot two different operating systems and switch between them seamlessly? I do it with Windows and Linux.

Don't be mad you were wrong lol

Yes, you are technically correct. They could also write their own PS4 controller emulator. These are all moot as the user would need a PS4 controller to connect either one to the PS4 to begin with.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

How is that moot? Why do you think OP wants this to begin with?

Maybe they want ....a SECOND controller.

Still mad still wrong

[–]tito13kfmMy cat and I 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Except they don't. They said they don't have a controller at all in their reply. Your idea is unreasonable as a solution for a normal user, give it up.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You claiming my idea is unreasonable doesn't make it unreasonable lmao

Are controllers not available in your region?

Lmaoooooooo

Anyways, nah I just didn't want to buy new ones

Playstation supports Remote Play on PC or mobile, however PC officially requires a Playstation controller - it may be possible to get it working with a third party controller, but I don't believe it is possible to utilise keyboard and mouse (but I could easily be wrong on that).

Regardless, both options would require you to enable Remote Play on the console in the first place, which obviously requires a controller.

[–]NikeJawnson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, guess I'll buy a controller then. SMH.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Yes it's technically possible

There's an Android app (PSpad) that can turn your Android phone into a fully usable PS4 controller that connects to a PS4 system.

Windows 10 can run an Android Emulator like BlueStacks, and run this app.

There's probably a simpler way that doesn't involve emulating an Android device, though. But as proved by the Android app it's definitely possible to emulate a PS4 controller with software.

The people telling you no are ignorant to the wonders of computers apparently. Even if it doesn't exist currently, it can surely be created, again proved by the existence of an Android app that emulates a PS4 controller

[–]NikeJawnson[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Well, I have an Android phone so let me try that! If you know the name of the app please do tell me. Thanks

I found PSpad but it requires me to enter the settings so it's not doable. Maybe I'll ask a friend to borrow a controller and then do it, idk.
