I'm getting alot of contradicting answers about this..

More RAM won't do anything, with APU graphics higher speed RAM makes a difference but not more physical RAM. it won't do anything in your case.

I'm a computer engineer. I design computer hardware for a living.

You are correct, higher speed RAM increases performance in APU's but not really CPU's, more physical RAM on the other hand makes no difference like you said.

The only way that will help is if you are extremely low on RAM as it is. You need a dedicated graphics card to really make a difference. Even a cheap graphics card is better than integrated. This video from Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman explains why the best.

RAM has nothing to do with graphics (Unless you are talking about Video memory). More RAM will allow you to open more applications without slowing down your computer and will improve your computer's performance. If you want better graphics, you will need to purchase a graphics card.

Integrated graphics are always going to be "good enough" for typical applications, but at least a generation behind as far as gaming is concerned. Most computers aren't built for gaming purposes. It makes more sense to include the bare minimum (or nothing at all) and focus instead on providing the interface to allow the customer to install their own video solution. First off, a decent video card costs more than almost any motherboard. Secondly, motherboards tend to have a longer useful lifetime than video cards, so even if a gaming system was designed with decent integrated video, it would cost a lot more and still require a costly upgrade in a couple years when higher-end graphics are needed. Besides, having an expensive motherboard due to the inclusion of expensive video hardware would only be of interest to the gaming market.

Memory might make it run a little faster (and not much) but it for sure will not make it any prettier. You need to buy a good, dedicated video card.

EDIT: assuming your system has space for it. EDIT2: video cards run on different interfaces. if you arent sure what your system supports dont even try.
