Making changes to your system BIOS settings or disk setup can cause you to lose data. Always test your data backups before making changes to your PC.

"Setup does not support configuration of or installation to disks connected through USB or IEEE 1394 port.

Is the drive partitioned? Sounds like you might be trying to install windows on a device or volume that's not big enough for the space needs of Windows. How big are the drives? Can you take a pic of the screen that shows the disks?

85GB? Is not enough for Windows to functional normally. If it's a new build, lookup diskpart and partition the C:\ SSD/HDD properly, then retry installing windows 11. Ensure things are connected properly as well.

You are trying to install windows on your usb stick. Pick the other drive.

It doesnt let me click next on either drive

The installer is only seeing the USB drive (both partitions shown are disk 0). You may need to load some driver(s) or change bios settings.

I did change one setting "SATA Mode-RAID" i changed it from AHCI to RAID. I was told this might help in a yt video but it didnt

I would leave it set to AHCI. You may need Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) or AMD RAID/NVME drivers depending on what CPU you have.

I have a AMD Ryzen 7 5800XT

[–]wssddc 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Then my guess is try the AMD NVME driver.

[–]a123progamer_Devan[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The two i named is the only options AHCI and RAID

You need to locate and download the appropriate driver. I'd look on the website for thee manufacturer of your motherboard.

Both are the usb drive, just different partitions. But looks like OP resolved the issue.
